Third Shift Festival Installation: A Weave in the Park
My first outdoor installation on Aug 18 2023: A Weave in the Park – in the rain with my bestie, Linda Haines-Carter! We even had solar lights (unfortunately they didn’t last until midnight!). This was a fabulous opportunity and experience for me! Thanks to everyone who helped. This was an excellent community engagement project!

Leclerc Loom and an Antique Coverlet
I found an older Leclerc loom and an antique coverlet at the Cameron Auctions last week. The Leclerc loom I found at an auction in June 2023. It even has a reed (that needs to be cleaned) and a warping board! But it doesn’t have a crank or the friction brake piece. I was tickled to find this antique coverlet at an auction in June 2023. Note the seam in the middle of the coverlet and the ends – I don’t believe this was ever properly finished. It is quite heavy and has a few stains so I’ll have to finish it and soak it in warm water and soap…

A Visit from a pair of Baltimore Orioles
This pair of Baltimore Orioles seem to be staying around for a few days. We’ve been feeding them oranges… They are so beautiful, but the oranges are very expensive! Let me know if you’ve seen any of these beautiful birds in your back yard. What are you feeding them? (They were actually eating out of the Hummingbird feeder before we bought the oranges!)
